Over the weekend I went to an event in Vancouver called CANstruction in which groups got together with architects or engineers to design sculptures made out of cans and some other dry goods. This event happens in many other cities as well and has been going on for over a decade. The food is all donated to a food shelter afterwards. Among the pieces were some amazingly geeky structures, as pictured below:
